Skis, snowboards and poles are classified as non-standard luggage. Even if they were accepted without any problems on one journey, another coach may have a smaller luggage compartment. Please arrange transport in advance.

Check the specific conditions for your journey

Inform the carrier of the type of equipment, the number of items and the dimensions of the cover. Clarify any additional charges, weight restrictions and the check-in procedure. If travelling as a group, be sure to state the total number of sets.

    Use a sturdy case

Tie the skis together, cover any sharp edges and secure the poles separately. It is best to protect your helmet, goggles and electronic devices with rigid packaging or take them into the passenger cabin, provided that the hand luggage rules allow this. Dry any wet equipment before travelling.

    Label your luggage

The bag should bear your name and a current telephone number. A brightly coloured ribbon will help you spot your kit quickly at the stop. Take a photo of your kit and the tags before loading it.

    Don’t be late for boarding

Long cases are more difficult to stow, so arrive in good time and follow the driver’s instructions. Review the general rules for luggage transport and advice on items in the passenger compartment.
