How not to be late for an international coach

How to find your boarding gate, work out your arrival time and what to do if you’re running late.

Зміст статті

An international coach cannot always wait for a passenger: it runs to a timetable and has a time slot at the border. Therefore, knowing the exact boarding point and allowing plenty of time are just as important as the ticket itself.

    Check the address

The name of the town is not enough. Find the exact station, platform, address and landmarks on your ticket. Check the route there in advance.

    Arrive in good time

For an international journey, it is advisable to be there 30–45 minutes early. Allow for traffic jams, roadworks, ticket checks and luggage loading.

    If you’re running late

Call the operator or customer support straight away. Don’t assume the bus will wait for you, and don’t try to catch up with it on your own without prior arrangement.

A quick checklist before your journey

    • Save the address offline
    • Set two reminders
    • Check the platform when you arrive
    • Have the carrier’s contact details

Before setting off, check the current terms and conditions of travel on your ticket and the rules for crossing the border on official websites. You can find a convenient bus journey and compare departure times and prices on RedRay.
