Two days is enough time to get a first impression of Prague without having to rush around to dozens of places. The key is to group the sights by neighbourhood, wear comfortable shoes and not overdo it after a night-time coach journey.
Day one: The Old Town and Charles Bridge
Start at Old Town Square, take a look at the town hall and the astronomical clock, then walk over to Charles Bridge. It’s quieter here early in the morning, whilst in the evening the bridge and the embankments have a special atmosphere.

Day two: Prague Castle and Lesser Town
Head to Prague Castle, St Vitus Cathedral and the viewing platforms. Then make your way down to Lesser Town. Check the official opening hours and admission conditions: individual areas and exhibitions have different arrangements.
Add one location based on your interests
After the main itinerary, choose just one thing: a stroll along the Vltava, a museum, Vyšehrad or a modern neighbourhood. This approach leaves you with time for transport, lunch and unexpected discoveries.
