A two-day trip to Łódź will be action-packed but not exhausting if you group the sights by neighbourhood. It’s worth leaving time in your itinerary for industrial architecture, murals and cultural venues, a rest after the coach journey, and the possibility of changing your plans due to the weather.
Day one
Start with Piotrkowska Street and the historic arcades. Choose one main paid attraction, and plan the rest of the route as a leisurely stroll. Check the official tourism websites for current opening times and ticket prices.

Day Two
Continue through Manufaktura and the factory districts. Alternate between museums and parks or waterfronts so as not to overpack your itinerary. Booking in advance may be useful for popular attractions, but leave some flexibility in your schedule.
Public transport
Download an offline map and check how to pay for your journey. If most places are close by, walking is often more convenient than making several short transfers.

Bus travel preparation
Save the address of the bus station, and choose your accommodation based on your arrival time. Country-specific advice is compiled in the RedRay guide, and essentials are listed in the ‘long journey’ checklist.
Return journey
Head to the platform in good time and check your ticket before boarding. You can compare bus options to and from the city on RedRay.
