Зміст статті

A two-day trip to Leipzig will be packed with activities but not exhausting if you group the sights by neighbourhood. It’s worth leaving time in your itinerary for musical history, art and urban spaces, a rest after the coach journey, and the possibility of changing your plans due to the weather.

    Day one

Start with the market square and St Nicholas’ Church. Choose one main paid attraction, and plan the rest of the route as a leisurely stroll. Check the official tourism websites for current opening times and ticket prices.

    Day Two

Continue through the museum districts and along the canal embankments. Alternate between museums and parks or the embankments so as not to overpack your itinerary. Booking in advance may be useful for popular attractions, but leave some flexibility in your schedule.

    Public transport

Download an offline map and check how to pay for your journey. If most places are close by, walking is often more convenient than making several short transfers.
