The timetable answers the question of when a journey is scheduled, but does not in itself confirm the availability of seats. To plan your journey, you need both the journey details and the results of a ticket search for a specific date. An old screenshot should only be used as a reminder, not as a definitive source.
Check the station and the timetable
Search for a route between the stations you need, rather than focusing solely on the train’s end-point cities. Your town may be a stop along the way. Check the departure date from your station and the arrival date: on night trains, these are often different. Make a note of the train number so you can recognise it on the display board, even if the destination name is long.
Scheduled times and actual journey times
Before setting off, check the operator’s announcements for any changes. At the station, check the platform number against the up-to-date display and announcements; do not rely on the platform you used on a previous journey. If a service is delayed, this does not mean you can delay your arrival at the station until an unconfirmed time. Check the status with station staff.

Questions and Answers
Does the timetable mean that tickets are already on sale?
No. You need to check the sales period and seat availability separately.
How can I identify my train on the display?
First and foremost by the train number, time and station of departure, rather than just the destination town.
Where can I check for delays?
Use the official Ukrainian Railways (UZ) delay service and information provided by the station.
Is the route from my previous journey saved?
Not necessarily. Check the latest announcements before boarding.
