The name ‘Yaremche’ on the ticket does not replace the address of the holiday cottage or hotel. When holidaying in a mountainous region, it is particularly useful to check the final leg of your journey: your accommodation may not be near the station.
How to check a journey for your chosen date
Find a train service available on your date and check the departure point. After that, check with your accommodation to find out the most convenient way to get there with your luggage. Do not book a transfer based on an unconfirmed time from last season. If the journey isn’t listed, check ticket availability and alternative stations, but only in conjunction with the actual route from there.
Plan for after you get off the train
After a night’s sleep, don’t plan a complex, active itinerary straight from the carriage. First, leave your belongings, have a meal and assess your energy levels. Allow plenty of time for the transfer back to the station; a walk or sightseeing trip before departure should not end right before you board.
Before confirming your ticket
Open the official Ukrainian Railways (UZ) search tool and check your chosen stations, dates, passengers and seat conditions. This guide explains the preparation process but does not replace the actual booking: you must check the availability of the journey, seats and the final price for your specific date. Save the completed document before leaving home.
